Automobiles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police reported they were contacted by a individual who found a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Around fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were alerted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered multiple other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement state early analysis show the fluid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; officials are not yet informed of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the community for information.

A high-ranking political figure commented the vandalism left him without words and had to be solved quickly.

"This act hits the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine victims by a shooter targeting individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
